Title and Department: Service mechanic in the Facilities Department at Broward Health Coral Springs
Years at Broward Health: 12 years
What motivates me to come to work each day: I enjoy fixing things for others so they can continue to perform at their best. I have a great team and a supportive manager who is continuously motivating me to learn new skills and expand my professional knowledge.
My favorite Broward Health moment: My greatest Broward Health moment was watching both of my boys being born here. Professionally speaking, a great moment for me was having the opportunity to transition into a new profession within Broward Health. Working in nutritional services was a wonderful opportunity and a great stepping stone to later transition into facilities. In this role, I’ve been able to learn new skills and flourish.
Some advice I’d give to a new employee just starting their career in healthcare: Love what you do and take pride in your job because it shows and goes a long way. Be respectful of others and work as a team. Always think of the bigger picture.
How I like to relax: I enjoy going to the beach, riding my bike and fishing with my family.
What I’m most proud of personally or professionally: Professionally, I’m most proud of my ability to adapt to a new professional path and excel in it. Personally, I’m a proud father and family man dedicated to family values and raising two boys to become great people.
What’s on my playlist: I have a very diverse playlist, from today’s hits to classic rock.
