Robotic surgery, available at Broward Health, can be used across a broad spectrum of minimally invasive surgical procedures and has been optimized in the areas of gynecology, urology, bariatric, colorectal, and general surgery.

Robotic surgery allows specially trained surgeons to perform minimally invasive procedures with advanced technology. During robotic-assisted surgery, a surgeon controls instruments with mechanical arms from a console inside the operating room, providing the surgeon with a high-definition, 3-D view of the surgical site. This approach is designed to offer surgeons greater precision, flexibility, and control.

Why Choose Broward Health?

With state-of-the art capabilities and a coordinated team of experts, our medical professionals are dedicated to making it easier than ever for women to get high-quality healthcare when and where they need it, including the best in breast cancer treatment and osteoporosis detection.

Although breast cancer and osteoporosis cannot be prevented, they can be detected early, when treatment is most effective. The Lillian S. Wells Women’s Health Center at Broward Health Medical Center offers a comprehensive array of diagnostic and therapeutic radiologic services.

  • Broward’s breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is almost 100% sensitive for breast cancers in tumors as small as three millimeters in size, which enables even earlier tumor detection and stage diagnosis.
  • Utilizing 3D Mammography, or Tomosynthesis, reduces the radiation dose by up to 40% compared to standard film mammography. Our providers and patients see results sooner - meaning patients have fewer callbacks and retakes, The more precise image quality allows for more accurate diagnosis.
  • Using advanced diagnostic tools and sophisticated, minimally invasive robotic surgical methods, our multidisciplinary orthopedic team helps customize treatment plans for each patient.

Clinical excellence across multiple disciplines makes Broward Health a natural choice for all women’s healthcare needs – from birth to end-of-life care.
